Here's What to Expect When Applying

When do I apply?


Applications are accepted year-round.  However, applications are considered in the order in which they are received.  Applications that are not complete and/or do not have all of the required documentation will not be accepted.  If there is not a seat available in the grade level applied for, the applicant will be placed on the waitlist.  Do NOT disenroll your student from his/her current school until you have received confirmation of acceptance at IAF.


If your child is on the waiting list, don’t be discouraged! Seats open up throughout the year. We will continue to send you school information if your child is on the waiting list.

Important Documents Needed for the Application Process

  • Certified Birth Certificate
  • Official Immunization Record (from physician or health department)
  • 2 years of Discipline Records from previous schools (Grades 1-12)
  • 2 years of Attendance Records from previous schools (Grades 1-12)
  • Last Report Card (Grades 1-12)
  • Current High School Transcript (9th-12th grade students)
  • Health Appraisal Form completed and signed by a Doctor
  • Vision Screen (kindergarten students only)
  • Dental Health Screen (kindergarten/first grade students only)
  • Individualized Education Plan or 504 Plan (if applicable)

**Parent/Guardian(s) must obtain these documents.

IAF will not request any of the above documents from a previous school.**

What's next after my student is accepted?

Once your student is accepted you will receive an email with your PowerSchool Parent login credentials.  You will need to login, change your password, and complete required forms.
