IAF is proud to be a partner of the Crim Fitness Foundation. The Community Education Initiative is designed to meet the needs of today’s families, students, and residents. They offer key services and resources to reach four primary goals: increase student attendance and graduation rates, increasing 3rd grade reading levels, and having a positive neighborhood impact. Key elements of this plan include:

    • FREE Flint Community Sports Program

    • YouthQuest after-school program

    • Extended learning opportunities, with a focus on literacy

    • Community gardens

    • Community walking/running clubs

  • Additional Social Services:

    • Clothing closet

    • DHHS Workers

    • Community Health Worker through Genesee Health Plan

  • A focus to bring the assets of the neighborhood together:

    • Monthly partnership meetings
