Out of an abundance of caution, the International Academy of Flint will be closed tomorrow, Monday, November 17, due to a building issue that can't be resolved until morning. We will provide updates as soon as possible regarding reopening.

The board meeting scheduled for Monday evening at 5:30 will still take place.

☃️ Brrr… Winter Recess Reminder! ❄️

As temperatures drop, please make sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather! Students go outside for recess whenever conditions allow, so warm coats, hats, gloves, and boots are important to keep everyone comfortable and safe.

Thank you for helping our students stay warm and enjoy their outdoor playtime this winter! We can’t wait to see those big smiles at recess! 💙

IAF Dance Team Takes the Court! 🏀 Today Monday, November 10 as our IAF Dance Team performs live at the Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards game! 🚌 Student/ Staff Departure: 4:30 PM from Door 11 💃 Performance: 6:30 PM 📍 Meet-Up: Olympia Sign (by Mike’s Pizza) at 6:10 PM ⏰ Return to School: 10:15–10:30 PM Students in the after-school program should go to the Flint Center of Excellence and follow their regular routines until departure. The after-school group will also head to Little Caesars Arena for the game. All attendees must have a Pistons ticket to enter. If your child will ride home with you after the game, please let Ms. Jones, Mr. Shakir, or a chaperone know before leaving. Let’s cheer on our Phoenix dancers as they shine on the Pistons court!

This is reminder that Parent-teacher conferences are happening today from 9:30-6:30. It's not too late to drop in and meet with teachers. NO SCHOOL TOMORROW.

MTA Bus 717 returned to the school briefly and is now en route to bring students home.

IAF buses will be 15-20 minutes late behind schedule due to a field trip. All busers will be transported home.
